TypePad and Facebook

Today Facebook announced their new Social Plugins and we're excited to be a showcase launch partner. In fact, TypePad is the only blogging service which offers these features to their customers.

Starting tomorrow, you will be able to install Facebook's new "Like" button, and connect your blog to Facebook's Open Graph**. This will give your readers the ability to share their love for your blog with friends on Facebook.

Facebook is a great way to gain new audiences for your blog. Last year we introduced the ability for you to automatically share posts with your friends on Facebook. And now with Facebook's new Like button, any visitor to your blog can show their appreciation. When a visitor chooses to "Like" your blog, Facebook creates a connection between that user and your blog so that TypePad can send updates to their profile and news feeds.

This is a very cool announcement from Facebook and we are happy to support it. TypePad continues to be on the cutting edge of support for Facebook integration and this is a case in point.
