The cast of Seinfeld is back together--on Curb Your Enthusiasm this fall, and on the cover of Entertainment Weekly (via The Ampersand). Cover Awards says that "Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Michael Richards plan to star in five episodes of [Curb Your Enthusiasm's] upcoming season," in which they "play themselves planning a reunion show." (Comedy Central Insider notes that the cast looks weirdly...the way they did 11 years ago. "Why haven't any of them aged? They all look exactly the same. Look at Julia Louis Dreyfus!") "The plot will have [Larry] David getting them together for the Seinfeld reunion that fans want to see and we'll get a behind-the-scenes look at the fictional reunion and the fictional making of that reunion, which itself will be a real reunion," explains TV Squad, confusingly.

Can't wait!

That's a brilliant conceit, and a great way to have a Seinfeld reunion that is emotionally satisfying for the fans, but still true to the tone of the original show (which resisted emotional satisfaction at every opportunity.) Maybe I'll start watching Curb again.
